Mod recommendations
So i have roughly 200 hours on ror2 and recently i've been wanting to add some QoL mods and probably some new characters/skins to mess around with

Does anyone have any recommendations? the main ones i know i want so far is the one that adds descriptions to items and one that shows how many boxes/drones/shrines are left on a stage. If anyone could help me out with the names for those I'd appreciate it a lot

https://thunderstore.io/package/ontrigger/ItemStatsMod/
- Shows how items stack when you pick them up/hover over them in the itembar. Keep in mind that this mod was last updated 5 months ago and is slightly outdated and the stacking details may not be entirely accurate. Otherwise is completely funtional.

https://thunderstore.io/package/JohnEdwa/RTAutoSprintEx/
- Makes you automatically sprint whenever it's possible to do so. Highly recommend this one since you should always be sprinting and saves you from having to constantly press the sprint key.

https://thunderstore.io/package/rob/MinerUnearthed/
- Adds a new survivor. The Miner from Risk of Rain 1.

https://thunderstore.io/package/Moffein/BanditReloaded/
- Adds a new survivor. The Bandit from Risk of Rain 1.

https://thunderstore.io/package/Rein/Sniper/
- Adds a new survivor. The Sniper from Risk of Rain 1.

https://thunderstore.io/package/Rein/RogueWisp/
- Adds a new survivor and a late-game boss. One that actually isn't from RoR1 (well, the boss is from RoR1).

As far as I'm aware, there's not a mod that shows where interactables are on the map.

stolen hi Sep 9, 2020 @ 9:53pm
use the r2modman to install mods, its easier to launch modded/vanilla.
Of course, to make any mods work you need bepinex and r2api. Would suggest getting the claymen mod too, pretty nice to have more enemies.

thank you guys for the recommendations, i appreciate it a lot <3
In case anyone who's interested in modding their game opens this post i ended up going with a few others as well.
Survivors: goku, vegeta, twitch, akali, riven(dont recommend riven, very clunky and no ability to kill air units)Void reaver(havent tried yet)
QoL: itemstats, auto skip intro cutscene and extra skins.
Enemies: claymen and rogue wisp (havent tried either yet)

Did all of it with r2modman which made the process of modding from kinda complicated to literally push the download button and then start the game
P.S. goku is a lot of fun but pretty op. the saiyans have a lot of interesting mechanics which was very surprising

Goku and Vegeta are pretty fun but can feel ridiculously strong, wouldn't mind if their super saiyan rates were cut in half since you can go ssj1 within stage 1.
Classic Items (ror1 items) are okay, most of the whites are pretty trashy and appear too often but captain's brooch with gesture of the drowned is just busted
The Miner is a lot of fun and feels like an officially added character

Could you link to the mod that shows how many chests and such are left on the stage please? :D

The only mod that does something like that that I know of is RadarScanner+. Try searching it up.

Yeah, I have that one, but I was hoping he was talking about something that just puts up a UI element that constantly displays the remaining count of chests and shrines and such. I'd kill for that.

SharedSuite - Items are shared in various ways that you can choose between, puts an end to: Item Hogging, Item Stealing and Players falling behind when they die.

FallenFriends - Turns players in to drones when they die, good fun for multiplayer! Instead of just watching a boring spectator cam people get to play as drones!!

The Sniper - Puts the sniper from RoR1 in to RoR2, good fun~!

Clay Templar - Turns the clay templar in to a playable hero, it's super well made and a ton of fun; well balanced too, I highly recommend it!

DronesInheritItems - does what it says on the tin, enables all types of minions to inherit items, highly customizable too

LunarCoinShareOnPickup - Also does what it says, prevents people from getting mad because "you stole my lunar coin!!! >:(((" and ragequitting

Pingprovements - Massive improvements to the ping system, customizable; don't need to be the host for this to work!

UnmoddedVersion - Let's you play with your unmodded buddies, just be careful to not install anything that uses custom models

BetterQueen - Turns the Beetle Queen boss fight in to something kind of actually threatening instead of just a complete meme.

ProperSave - Let's you save and load the game, simple as that~

HiddenRealmsAllowOrbitalSkills - Enables Captain's Utility and Special to be used in hidden areas, as they should've been by default.

Hailstorm - Adds new elite monsters and a new enemy!

MobileTurretRangeBuff - Makes the mobile turret not complete and utter garbage; by boosting the mobile turret's laser beam range massively

MobileTurretFungus - Makes the mobile turret not complete and utter garbage; by enabling Bustling Fungus on them

NoStoreKick - Prevents the Newt from kicking you out of the store when you boop his snoot too hard

BanditReloaded - Adds the bandit from RoR1 in to RoR2, good fun~!

HarbCrate - New items to play around with

TinkersSatchel - New items to play around with

I also recommend the use of R2ModManager to make managing your mods easier

glhf~!

more or less if you all have the same server-side mods, it should be good. best bet is using the same mod manager, like thunderstore (they have a way to export to others what you already have set up)
