Why does the majority play on drizzle?
Just looked at the screenshot tab section.
The vast majority of players are playing on drizzle, there are very few that seem to be playing rainstorm or monsoon.
When i first bought the game i started on rainstorm, is it really that hard?
I beat the first risk of rain on monsoon with every single artifact active for that added challenge.
Risk of rain is not for the weak.

Cool story, bro. Doesn't negate that you're still a doosh.

Because the majority of players are casual, they don't really care for challenge or difficulty. That's just a fact.

drizzle is boring
at least in rainstorm or whatever the early game isn't a painful slog

I'm waiting for the ability to control what I get from enemies with the Artifacts. On higher difficulties the RNG you need for a good run is getting quite ridiculous and just isn't fun shooting at an boss for way to long to kill it just because I haven't gotten some good drops. Said boss could also probably just one shot me at that point too.

So I play for fun and likes to stack items as much as possible.

Probably in the middle of trying for easy unlocks.

after the whole fire tic rate thing, monsoon is really off putting. after that gets sorted out, well its back to monsoon only again. Struggles are fun, but only when its not completely broken.

Gives you more time to collect enough for a fun build, the game gets to the same difficulty eventually anyway it just takes a little longer. The early game is far too easy sure but that gives you a chance to perfect your map knowledge and therefore movement efficiency.

Who cares how people play lol Surprised this is a topic for discussion. I don't play on drizzle but if other people do, I litterally don't care and am happy they are playing. This game takes zero skill, it's about strategy, enivormental knowledge, class knowledge and the rest falls on RNG, the items you get and the monster spawns.

Even on Monsoon (single player anyhow) the game turns into an absolute joke somewhere around finishing the second loop (stage 8+) without a single printer. Last run I did to unlock the remaining few challenges had me literally kill everything by just aiming at it (no longer had to click) up to the point where enemies stopped spawning.

The problem is getting there. Most people enjoy playing on Drizzle more because of it. Less 1-shotting by Blazing enemies before you pop off.

As for multiplayer, because most items stop functioning well, you need a good printer to get far. On Rainstorm it's still possible to pop off, but it's just far easier to get to a decent stage on Drizzle without the frustration of dying to enemies that you barely deal damage to.

It's pretty simple actually. We easy mode players are mainly busy with important things to do in our lives and after a long day of working on stuff, we just want to relax and enjoy ourselves without adding more stress to the table. Here is a list of examples:

1. Able to talk to women and have a girlfriend/wife
2. Have busy jobs that involve working 9+ hours every 5 days weekly just to pay bills and put food on the table
3. Some people have anger issues and don't want to bother adding more stress to themselves
4. Enjoying touching grass from time to time
5. Are studying to get better grades at High School and College
6. Raising kids
7. Taking Showers
8. Focusing on mental health
9. Exercise
10. Working on Projects

So yeah, we just want to enjoy games and I totally respect some people want to play on harder difficulties but what I don't stand is when "GAMER'S ™" bash and shame other people who play on easier difficulties. I will never understand why "GAMER'S ™" treat Harder game difficulties like a religion (Islam level) and how it came to be. It is very immature and sad at the same time. Game devs add multiple difficulties cause they want a larger audience. Sure some devs don't and want to make a really difficult game but not every game developer has to follow the same concept and I can respect if a dev wants to make his game hard by following a very simple principle that every seller has stated "If you don't like it, don't buy it". We live in a country of freedom and within this country of freedom, people have the right to do anything and respect others as long as it does not affect the other in a negative way. So I'm not saying "hArD MOde BAad", I'm saying let people enjoy things. You can play Hardmode or any other harder difficulty than all you want but please stop shoving those difficulties down our throats like how a zealot shoves religion down everyone else's throats. I really don't see how people who play on easy mode affect others who play on harder difficulties.

Weird necro but ok.
