Ancient Scepter
What do you guys think the Ancient Scepter will do with the new characters? What sort of changes do you think they'll make with the existing characters? Obviously Huntress's will be different.

I was thinking it might be interesting if they made it an active item which would give you a fifth ability.

For those who might not be familiar, the Ancient Scepter was an item in the first game that buffed your fourth ability. For example, it extended the duration of the Mercenary's Eviscerate every time it got a kill.

Probably will have similar effects for the Survivors who are returning from RoR1. Huntress might get a longer arrow rain that deals more damage per tick, since her R is new compared to her original.

MUL-T will likely get upgraded basic attacks, since his R controls his basic attack type.

What I REALLY want for Artificer, though, is for the scepter to greatly increase the range on her flamethrower. Maybe a little extra damage, too. The range is just very short, if they don't straight up buff the base range, it should at least get buffed with the Ancient Scepter.

I would expect see MUL-T be able to swap to a third attack and equippable, along with associated forums posts complaining how cycling through one extra weapon being a massive chore.

For Artificer, I'd rather they combine all 3 elements and turn the Flamethrower into a Tri-Beam of sorts.

I dunno. Short flame range, and thus positioning, is what makes the Artificer feel unuiqe. If range was increased she would become more like a generic damage dealer ala Mul-T. I think the Ancient Sceptre should double down on a character's core competency and make it stronger; rather than to make changes that dilute their specific gameplay niche.
