What do you think are the worst three reds?
I'd say theres a few reds that dont matter, and are bad reds. What do you think they are?

  1. Interstellar Desk Plant. The healing isn't very good, and honestly, given how positioning-based this game is, it doesn't make much sense.
  2. H3AD-5T v2. Not saying it is objectively bad or anything, but I find a hard time remembering to use it, not to mention it totally depends on your character having high vertical mobility.
  3. Alien Head. It is very nice early game, but late game it is outclassed by Brainstalks. It is outclassed so hard it directly makes it obsolete.

N'Kuhana's Opinion SUCKS unless you have god-tier healing.
Interstellar Desk Plant is just portable Fungus.
Headstompers are just clunky. I'd rather have Happiest Mask.
1. Dio (Brando)'s best friend - one use, really? i just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up 7000$ on that damn legendary chest and i got this? WHEN I NEED F@K&NG DAMAGE??!?!?!
2. Frost relic (should be 3-rd but the h3ad-5t v2 is more useful sometimes) - The radius is really low, and if you are not melee character well this is 70% useless if 3-4 items stacked
3. H3AD-5T v2 - from all the else items this gives you only the jumps and the falls, and jump height is not scaled by stacking so yea this is still good item but not enough

with H3AD-5T v2 I took out half the hp of the lunar scavenger in 1hit
I've never seen resonance disk really do anything, or at least it's not very noticeable.
But I would put desk plant as #1 worst red. The healing zones are pretty small and not worth standing in during the chaos. It's essentially covering the field in 1-stack bustling funguses.

If you are doing most of the killing, the Resonance Disk deals an absurd amount of damage in a very short timespan.

Interstellar Desk Plant is by far the worst item in game, and IMHO should be a white

green at least, and in that way it's seems to be not so bad if you blackhole swarm of monsters and then they are healing location for all of the team (after they die, of course)

First would be H3AD-5T v2s. It doesn't feel like a red item at all. Getting rid of fall damage is nice, except for the part where almost every character has a way to mitigate fall damage, or too much health for fall damage to matter. Plus Hopoo feathers do the same thing effectively, as a green. The damage from the stomp is too low to be worth using unless you're so far in the air that you're practically out of the map, at which case it can be pretty fun and goofy, but runs like that are rare and require massive time investment. For most practical play, it's just useless with an extremely weak effect that most classes don't even want. And the extra jump height, while enabling a weak activation of the damage, is the most annoying thing in the game, and makes an actually strong item worse, that being the Wax Quail. Finding this item makes me feel like I've been robbed of a red, which is worse than anything else. When I find it, I have to genuinely consider whether or not I want to put up with it for the chance at finding a red item printer.

Second is Happiest Mask. They're decent for tanking, their damage isn't bad either, but they're just kinda eh. I've never really had a moment where I felt powerful because of Happiest Mask, it's a very passive and boring item for me personally. I'd always rather have something like Aegis or an Opinion and watch a real tangible effect. It doesn't help that the AI is just kinda eh, it's only a chance on kill meaning sometimes it'll do a ton and sometimes it'll do literally nothing, it makes enemies with friendly fire even more dangerous, and the AI will sometimes go out of their way to attack you despite being allies, which isn't bad most of the time but outright lethal if you have the Chaos artifact. I don't like items that present serious & uncontrollable harm to me, especially when it's a red. Cool effect, just too many issues.

And finally, Alien Head. As mentioned earlier in this thread, Brainstalks is just better the overwhelming majority of the time, as it'll have pretty much 100% up time on later runs as long as you're in combat. Alien Head isn't bad, just so heavily outclassed by an item that does the same thing better. It honestly might be better as a green, seeing how the only other green we have is Fuel Cell, which offers a similiar 15% reduction for equipment items combined with an extra charge. Alien Head feels like a green. I get it was a red item in ror1, but a couple have had their rarity swapped around. Clover, Frost Relic (God rest it's soul), Barbed Wire, Tough Times/Hermit Scarf, etc.

I'll give you my three favorite too. Hardlight Afterburner because I like to get more Loader out of my Loader, Sentient Meathook for the same reason, and Frost Relic, although I'm mostly clinging to when it was amazing. And also a green. Despite common opinion though, I actually like the fov boost it provides, very nice for knowing when an Elder Lumarian just spawned right behind you.

You don't want to have Happiest Mask in the late game though. It make enemies like Clay Dune Strider and Void Reaver into god tier enemy once they become your ally. At least Head Stomper negate fall dmg which is nice to have as a passive 1 item only. In the late game when you are almost always want to stay on air, negate fall dmg become very essential if you don't want to die.

My 3 worst items:
Happy Mask: This thing just outright end your run due to Void Reaver and Clay Dune Strider ability to target ally.
Plant: Not the worst when you got plenty of it stack up but this is a Red Items. it just bad.
Frost Relic: Taking too long to stack up.
Reason why I put Frost Relic instead of Vulture is because as least Vulture can help DeathMark to increase your dmg. That and the fact that Razor Wire does almost the same job but better than Frost.

Oh Vulture on rex

Desk plant is, like someone already said, the worst item in the game period. Even with the effect in RoR1 would be better (in RoR1 it spawned a little plant with fruits that healed on contact, the heal was ♥♥♥♥, the catch was iirc that the fruit could regrow, so each plant had multiples uses), and in RoR1 was already the worst red.
I too don't like H3AD-5T v2, the jump boost get easily shadowed by hopoo feathers and for me the "drop and deal tons of damage" is hard to pull off.
For the 3rd I would go with Dio's best friend only because it adds no damage, I only try to get one if the run is really long and I want to kill the Twisted Scavenger, for some reason they can caught me off guard
