Interstellar Desk Plant is just portable Fungus.
Headstompers are just clunky. I'd rather have Happiest Mask.
2. Frost relic (should be 3-rd but the h3ad-5t v2 is more useful sometimes) - The radius is really low, and if you are not melee character well this is 70% useless if 3-4 items stacked
3. H3AD-5T v2 - from all the else items this gives you only the jumps and the falls, and jump height is not scaled by stacking so yea this is still good item but not enough
I've never seen resonance disk really do anything, or at least it's not very noticeable.
But I would put desk plant as #1 worst red. The healing zones are pretty small and not worth standing in during the chaos. It's essentially covering the field in 1-stack bustling funguses.
Second is Happiest Mask. They're decent for tanking, their damage isn't bad either, but they're just kinda eh. I've never really had a moment where I felt powerful because of Happiest Mask, it's a very passive and boring item for me personally. I'd always rather have something like Aegis or an Opinion and watch a real tangible effect. It doesn't help that the AI is just kinda eh, it's only a chance on kill meaning sometimes it'll do a ton and sometimes it'll do literally nothing, it makes enemies with friendly fire even more dangerous, and the AI will sometimes go out of their way to attack you despite being allies, which isn't bad most of the time but outright lethal if you have the Chaos artifact. I don't like items that present serious & uncontrollable harm to me, especially when it's a red. Cool effect, just too many issues.
And finally, Alien Head. As mentioned earlier in this thread, Brainstalks is just better the overwhelming majority of the time, as it'll have pretty much 100% up time on later runs as long as you're in combat. Alien Head isn't bad, just so heavily outclassed by an item that does the same thing better. It honestly might be better as a green, seeing how the only other green we have is Fuel Cell, which offers a similiar 15% reduction for equipment items combined with an extra charge. Alien Head feels like a green. I get it was a red item in ror1, but a couple have had their rarity swapped around. Clover, Frost Relic (God rest it's soul), Barbed Wire, Tough Times/Hermit Scarf, etc.
I'll give you my three favorite too. Hardlight Afterburner because I like to get more Loader out of my Loader, Sentient Meathook for the same reason, and Frost Relic, although I'm mostly clinging to when it was amazing. And also a green. Despite common opinion though, I actually like the fov boost it provides, very nice for knowing when an Elder Lumarian just spawned right behind you.
My 3 worst items:
Happy Mask: This thing just outright end your run due to Void Reaver and Clay Dune Strider ability to target ally.
Plant: Not the worst when you got plenty of it stack up but this is a Red Items. it just bad.
Frost Relic: Taking too long to stack up.
Reason why I put Frost Relic instead of Vulture is because as least Vulture can help DeathMark to increase your dmg. That and the fact that Razor Wire does almost the same job but better than Frost.
I too don't like H3AD-5T v2, the jump boost get easily shadowed by hopoo feathers and for me the "drop and deal tons of damage" is hard to pull off.
For the 3rd I would go with Dio's best friend only because it adds no damage, I only try to get one if the run is really long and I want to kill the Twisted Scavenger, for some reason they can caught me off guard
