Artifact Enable/Disable weirdness?

I unlocked a few artifacts and am confused by there being two different states for a disabled artifact, one that is blank, the starting state, and one with a red x underneath. I can enable them no problem but am just confused by the weird ui

It's a voting function that only has any purpose in multiplayer lobbies. Blank means you're not voting either way, the enabled setting means you're voting to use that relic, and the red X means you're voting against enabling that relic (so, for instance, you can overrule that one guy who dies notoriously often but wants to turn on Artifact of Death).

I can't stress this enough that it needs to be clearer how to disable artifacts.
I had a meltdown earlier over people turning artifacts ruining my games, and having to drop a majority of lobbies and spend 5 minutes re-queueing for every game...

X is veto for multiplayer in case someone absolutely does not want that artifact. Would be nice to right-click to X though

It doesn't need to be clear, just click it again. About as clear as it can get.

This doesn't work for me. I despise the command artifact because it's always used in quickplay. Turning it on then again for disabled does not count as a vote. if one person turns it on, it's on. Until it's novelty wares off quickplay is ruined for me

It's like voting for difficulty. If there is a vote for Monsoon and a vote for Drizzle, then the game chooses which vote was casted first. Same for artifact vetoes.
