Can't find the artificer?

I have the 10 lunar coins, and I entered the bazaar twice by random chance (No newt statue), but I can't find the artificer. I looked up multiple guides that said it was right next to the lizard in there, but all I see is a wooden post and a vase, just some background items. Any advice?

Try restarting Steam and verifying integrity of game files.

It should be the stone spire-looking item on the right hand side of the big lizard.

As in, literally right next to him. Not somewhere else in the cave. Right by him.

If someone you're playing with activated the crystal in the run then you have to start again

Figured it out. So you can't unlock artificer by the random blue portals that spawn, it has to be through giving a lunar coin to the altar. I just gave to an altar for the first time and now I have him.

I remember I entered a random blue portal once without giving lunar coin to altar. I did saw the Artificer! Just that I can't unlock her because I just have 4 lunar coins. A wasted chance...

this is most certainly not true. i got it through a random portal after a boss was killed.

If you're playing online and someone else is hosting, that might be the cause of it. I was playing with a friend that didn't have Artificer but wasn't able to see her in the shop. I was hosting the game, and she was there for me even though I already unlocked her.

During solo play the first time i went into the portal with my 10 saved coins Artificer was not there, after my second entry in a different run she was there, perhaps its a minor chance thing but still not relatively rare.

playing solo she showed up, so if you cant find her try a solo run

She didn't show up for me when my friend was hosting even though i had 10 coins. When i hosted afterwards she was there.

I unlocked artificer using a free portal.

If all else fails, you can find a line to add to your save file to unlock artificer, then deduct 10 or 11 coins from yourself.
