Can someone explain this? Does he have a one shot attack cause im at FULL health and he just decides to one shot you and I have no idea how. It happens every time.

It does more damage the closer you are. Run away.

His aoe attack I mean.

No, he doesn't. Something else hit you, or the jellyfish was a Blazing variant, which would have applied damage over time when the AoE hit you.

Break line of sight or get far away from the vagrant, it has the potential to one shot if you aren't careful with that giant aoe attack

Honestly, I get the feeling it's a fixed percent of your max hp. I've never, ever been killed by it from full hp. Just today I was standing on one of the Vagrants as the Merc, slashing away, and I mistimed my Eviscerate and ate the AoE from point-blank range. I still had 1/4th of my hp left.

It can oneshot. I've and my buddy died multiple times to it, solo and in coop.

Either run away from the big aoe or hide behind line of sight like a tree or rock. Certain abilities with invulnerability can be well-timed to dodge it as well. Not much you can really do against its barrage attack though.

It can one shot in the early game depending on your character. MulT will laugh at the damage. Dunno who balanced MultT but boy do I have some choice words for them.

Hide.

Think of it like the titans lock on laser. If you break the line of site and hide behind a rock or a tree it won't damage you.

It definitely can 1-shot you from full health.

engineer shield blocks all ranged attacks exept for teapod health sucking. including AOE attack of vagrant.
In case you or one of your companion plays as one.

Yeah, that shock blast CAN 1 shot, can gaurantee that for sure, and during later stages with blaze variants, you would sometimes be if not screwed if it ends up even scratching you.
But yeah, as sairus said, the engi shield will indeed block the blast. Quick warning, fighting inside the shield vs multiple titans is not wise. I was safe from the laser, only for a titan punch to launch me outta the bubble and into the beam.

well... titan punch is a melee atack so shield is useless for that (I'm playing MP mostly as engi)

It has an attack which can oneshot you. That's some kind of orb he is shooting. It's moving relatively fast but good luck spotting it if a huge group of enemies are around.
That boss is just a pain in the a$$ if you play as a Merch.
