The only game in past years I saw that has local co-op is newly released Outward, why are you mad?

Well that's just untrue . There is a ton of games with local coop releasing .

Let's see. Divinity Original sin 2. Dishwasher : vampire smile , 20xx , Cuphead , Mother russia bleeds , Crypt of the necrodancer , Salt and sanctuary , Guacamelee! 1-2 , Assault android cactus , Hyper light drifter , Helldivers , Risk of rain :D , Broforce , Magicka 1 and 2 , kingdom two crown , speed brawl , Door kickers : action squad, Cryptark , Towerfall ascension ... ♥♥♥ man there is too many... The indie scene is filled with local coop games and good ones too!

Definitely feel that this is important. The early B1G2 deal softens the blow a bit, but this game really needs LAN as well as splitscreen options using controllers!

Saw another post somewhere where someone said the devs are looking into local coop later down the line. Don't know if it's true but they might just be focusing on the core game right now and leaving that stuff for later down the road.

the only reason I bougth risk of rain 1 was because it had local coop... made me realize how good the game actually was, this game needs splitscreen/local NOW!

Yeah same ! If I bought Risk Of Rain, it was for a local coop experience, but unfortunately there is no split-screen in the second opus.
You need to inject a 2 player split screen coop. IT SOOOOO IMPORTANT !!! There is less and less games with split screen option please MAKE THE DIFFERENCE !!!

In computer and gaming terms "local co-op" was ALWAYS for LAN network, and playing on same screen that is "split screen" and NOT local co op

Split screen mode is in development right now and you can access it via the dev console, given that you have 2 controller...

quit your whining there is an experimental split screen that isnt enabled by default. you think its important so i'll leave you to surf the web to figure out how to activate it.

I've been looiking into this the past 20 mins are you sure? I've opened the console, typed in ctrl + alt + apostrophe (does seemingly nothing) and then put test_splitscreen into the console (gives me command not found message each time.)
Are people actually being able to local co-op this way? how exactly
