Acrid poison scales off PLAYER health
I need to get home to confirm this but Ive noticed everyone being super confused about the poison damage scaling and tooltip.

If I understand correctly this is because the 10% max health damage of the poison is based on 10% of player health NOT enemy health.

This means if you want to buff poison damage, stack hp.

I belive this is incorrect. It seems to be a bit broken or weird at the moment, but it definitely scales off of enemy HP. Try poisioning the newt in the bazaar and each tick will hit for more than your max health.

from the update post it says 10% of enemy hp
so obviously as the enemy HP scales so does the damage done.

Maybe the damage is unaffected, but the time is scaled? If so, that would make it a really terrible ability, but that's not the case since while those guys tick for 18, the bazaar newt ticks for 1080.

That could make sense, that's how Gasoline works. Says it deals more damage but is really just a longer DoT with the same base damage per second.
Though it does way more than 100% of the weak enemy health in a couple of seconds in most cases.

From that description it just sounds super buggy... theres no logical way it can be working right with those numbers.

It also unambiguously says in the tooltip that it deals 10% of *their* health. And Acrid's description says he "uses powerful poisons to melt tanky enemies".

I noticed there is some difference between targets (like 9 vs 10), maybe because of armor? But since it deals almost identical damage to most targets (bosses, elites, squishy and durable normal enemies) despite massive health differences, it's apparently simply bugged.

This is a visual bug. The damage is right but doesn't show the right amount.

Good find, just tested it , bazaar dude damage changed from 225 to 258 in close range (you have to be close the entire duration to take effect).

Edit:
Apparently, poison damage is now fixed and show different amount between targets:
- Poison is affected by Armor (tested with natural toxins)
- Stacks with Armor-Piercing Rounds, 3 items so far affect poison damage + Armor reduction
