Shrine of Order
Boy oh boy, really shouldn't have messed with you before googling ya.

Everyone pour one out for my god tier build that got turned into 10 crowbars and a few extras. (I had 3 missile drones and a tesla mushroom so don't get ahead of yourself.)

hang on a sec. pending on your application of one, it can be very silly mid to late game the things you can do, and the challenges you can achieve at the cost of some time and a single lunar coin.

lemme grab my video where i grabbed one.

i pass it the first time as my typical nope, then remembered what i was even there for. so i took the plunge and tried it.

As a shrine of order picks an item of each rarity from your selection of items and then turns everything of that rarity into those items, it can make for some very odd results. It rarely turns out well, though sometimes it becomes ridiculously broken. 20 fireworks can be really funny to watch, as well as trying to control yourself with 20 or more goat hooves.

Still, if you don't have to depend on the items that you do have, it can be very weird as those huge stacks of a single item can sometimes be very strange. Imagine when you end up with only 20 ukeleles fairly early in a run. You have to hit a target, but once you do, everything nearby vaporizes. You just have to survive until you get some more items.

Shrine of Order would be more viable if it put all your stuff into one item from three item types (Damage, Healing, Utility) for each item rarity. It would sort them evenly. So you would always get even number of damage, healing, utility. You will have exact same number of white, green and red items as you had before (which I assume is how Order works currently).

After the first phase, it should able you to spend 2 extra lunar coins to put all your items into one of the three items you had for each item rarity. This works the exact same way Shrine of Order works now. Only major difference in design is that you now have to worry way less that you're gonna get a ♥♥♥♥ item because it only chooses one of three instead of one of 5 or 10 or 20 etc.

Makes way more sense.

i think the shine of order might be improved if it had a "reroll" feature, spending more lunar coins would do the same thing, but give you 3 (potentially) different items.
only a limited amount of times with increasing coin cost of course

As someone who's completed everything there is to do in the game, I take the Meme Shrine every chance I get even if it kills the run.
Ever have over 200 goat legs and you teleport from here to the moon from tapping W?

yeah i pitched something similar awhile back, type and rarity (with lunar being the only one without type applied, MAYBE red as well since there are fewer of them by comparison to keep them balanced.)

I don't think this shrine is supposed to be balanced or bought often...

I've always viewed it as a meme or as a challenge.

Balancing the shrine to make it "viable" only makes it THE go to thing to buy, especially if you can reroll.

Eventually you'll find one and reroll until you get the perfect fix, elminating all the less valuable items.

At that point you might as well end the run because youre unkillable

I don't know who you're replying to or what you mean by "go to thing to buy"

What are you buying exactly? And why is it the "go to" as you say? You are still risking your build completely getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but now it at least has SOME kind of gameplay purpose. If you want to screw your run up then maybe get some mods that do that lol.

I didn't say anything in my suggestion that you should be able to reroll infinitely. You spend one lunar coin to get 3 items of each category of each rarity and then you spend two lunar coin to get one item of each rarity. That's it no more rerolls.

Considering the shrine is so rare you can't really "fix your build" that often in the beginning of the run.

had a shrine of order last night. 12 topaz brooches, 5 lepton daisies on stage 2. it can make or break a run i feel like but it was really fun if u dont take it seriously.

Shrine of order is one of the best things this game has to offer.
Wish it was at least guaranteed on Delta, yet it isn't :c

Hmph. I dunno. I wouldn't be opposed to changing it, I would just be careful in making it too useful.
