Low FPS
Sorry if this has been posted many times before but I couldn't find a solution searching up fixes.

GPU: GTX 1050
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 10

On the second stage I get around about 50-60 fps and on the 4th stage it drops down to a constant 20 fps don't know how I got through the game like that.

I have done the following:
- Changed power management mode in NVIDIA Control Panel to max.
- Updated and reinstalled drivers.
- Verify integrity of game files.
- Reinstalled Risk Of Rain 2.
- Set all graphical settings to low (Only improves it by around about 10 fps)
- Launched game as administrator.
- Alt-enter true fullscreen

Any help?
If anymore information is needed just ask.

Proof for my trash fps

I found a partial solution from another thread.

I have a fix for this! Running i7-6700 with 16gb of RAM and GTX 1060 6gb. When I first got this game it ran very poorly, and I could not figure out why. After doing the usual things (reinstall, drivers etc) It was still running poorly, maybe 15-20 fps even on the lowest setting. I couldn't figure it out. Then, after a system check, I saw that it was chewing up 94% of my GPU. A 500 MB game maxing a 1060? Not a chance. Turns out, the game was defaulting to run on my stock graphics card, some Intel Integrated number, probably the size of a thimble. So, after sorting that out, runs like a dream. If you're having the same issue, read on.

This is the steps to fix this. Windows search > Graphics Settings > Classic App > Browse >(find the .exe file, for Steam this is usually in C:/ ProgramFilesx86/Steam/Steamapps) Click "Add" and then you'll see the game pop up below Classic App. Click on it, and you'll see some options.
It wil list your "Power Saving GPU" and your "HIgh Performance GPU". Select High Performance and let it RIP. Hope this helps someone out! Leave a comment if you need any help or are confused about the steps.
If you can't find Graphics Settings through this method then right click on your desktop and click Display Settings and scroll down to Graphics Settings.

im using the -useallavailablecores command in the launch option, don't know if it helps though. Just used it in my first game but had cheaters in that.

I know it's mostly cpu wise if you are getting lag, especially when alot of mobs spawn.

I have trouble from the fourth stage (hell stage) and onwards, usually.

have you turned off windows 10 game dvr? do you have any programs running in the backround? also might be a weird question but have you tried playing this game on max settings? funnily enough i get worse frames if i lower my graphics all the way and i have a 1050 aswell

Lowering the graphical settings only improves it by around about 10 fps in the earlier stages. I've tried with everything turned off except for Discord, Risk of Rain 2 and task manager and everything on and there's no notable difference.

Using this improved the FPS significantly. Thx. Though, it gets more laggier at around the 8th stage.

look at this dude running the game with ultra settings with weaker CPU than yours. easily achieve 100++ fps

i'm really interested in this game but i only have ryzen 3 2200g and rx580, are you really only getting average 50-60fps?

Yes, I'll try to record next time I play.

there must be something wrong with your system, there's no way ryzen 3 as shown in the video can outperform ryzen 5 1600 almost twice as much FPS. anyway, how many fps do you get in the very same map like in the video?

50-60 fps.
I've just finished recording a 40 min run. It'll be finished uploading by tomorrow.
EDIT: Hopefully
EDIT 2: Be upload ready by the end of the month AEST time.
EDIT 3: Youtube FKN cucked me. Was waiting 3-5 days to upload then it asked me to verif to upload vids that are longer than 15 mins. I went and did it and there isn't any button to activate the video. Going to have to wait 3-5 more days or just abandon it and wait for an optimisation update X_X.

I have a very powerful rig and sometimes get as low as sub 15 FPS (rtx 2080ti, i7 9700k, 32GB 3200mhz ddr4 RAM, 2TB SSD).

Honestly the game is not optimised, which is not much of a surprise to me at the current state of the game. The first game also ran into performance issues when more enemies, particles and nonsense was occurring on screen or in the game map.

I think the devs are aware of it and are probably working on something for a larger (hopefully) upcoming patch.
