Loader's alternate skill question

To complete the "loader: swing by" challenge, do you have to be on a certain difficulty? I'm pretty sure I did it on easy but the skill didn't get unlocked

i also did this but i did it with 4 secs left on the clock and i also stopped by the lunar shop, maybe it uses real time and not the counter in the game

It's not difficulty locked. Easiest way is to just collect 2-3 items per stage and stomp the bosses.

I've heard it is buggy for some people. I got it first try, but I've heard people having trouble getting it.

Just do it on drizzle in under 25 real time minutes. (not game time)
It works identically to the default grapple except it does damage and pulls small guys to you like mortal kombat.

I did it in under 20. My advice is for stage one, immediately fight the boss. This will force a bunch of enemies to spawn, and don't worry it's an easy fight if you just charge smash the boss over and over. Then you get the green item and you have money for boxes. Don't waste too much time getting all the boxes, just get four or five max. don't spend more than a few minutes on the first few stages. I also suggest you don't save for the legendary items on stage 4.

Pretty much rinse and repeat until you get there. I tried to get strategy going for it but it just doesn't work as well as rushing each stage as much as possible. It's definitely worth getting the alt skill.

You need to get not unlucky with boss and teleporter spawns. If you get magma worm, it's easier to simply restart. You are losing extra 2 to 5 minutes fighting it.

I managed to clear it in roughly 16 mins without visiting bazaar on easy mode, but it didn't count for some reason.
