I think it's like if you hit something for 100 white damage, you'll also get an extra 60 yellow damage.

yeah the blast counts as its own hit as far as i've seen

From what I've seen, and feel free to correct me: It's a secondary hit. As such, it doesn't benefit from crowbar (your initial attack will bring them below the crowbar threshhold), doesn't amplify the damage of other on hits by adding to the initial hit (though I imagine it can proc on hits on its own?)

yeah. so long story short, its an accuracy compensator for ground targets.

also is fun to murder crowds with the black hole equipment.

It's a flat increase. You add up 60%. But it cannot proc items since it's a secondary hit. You just hit 100% of your damage (after calculation) and add 60% on top of that.
