What's the counter to a morph?
Apart from not eating it and blocking the real attack to win the stamina game, which is largely irrelevant outside of a 1v1 on a duel server.

Regular feint: Windup on both attacks, a chamber attempt on the first attack will win out.
Morph: Second attack has no windup, a chamber attempt at the first attack will fail and you'll eat a hit.

Is there any reason to use a regular feint over a morph, outside of obvious telegraphs on some weapons (a war axe user is most likely not going to stab you)?

The only thing that beats it is a regular attack started at the same time as the first guy, but that's pretty random unless you have a way faster weapon.

ESP first strike. Rather then predict their windup, you predict their input time before the attack actually starts. (predicting when someone will tap keys on the other end of the internet factoring bandwidth delays and their rythm)

Idk..I've turned to simply timing my blocks...

I can't believe people put this much thought into such a mindless game.
Parry, 1st strike flinch, or even a chamber attempt if your weapon is fast enough compared to the enemy's or if the enemy drags their morph too much when you went for a chamber.

You can usually cancel your chamber windup and parry instead once you see the morph coming.

Feints are better for fast weapons while morphs are better for slow weapons. Feints can be used in the same direction while morph has to be swing to thrust or thrust to swing.

Was trying to figure out how to word this one. This is my main method, since you can usually stop your attack and parry theirs.

Parry then attack with a lute thrust.

I never morph. I just spam attacks with the odd feint to throw someone off. That way if someone tries morph or faint you will get a hit.
It has been said here 2 or 3 times already. You will not be able to discuss the subject because half of this community can't read properly.

You put some weight in your thread but the best you will get is someone replying "chamber", ignoring what you already said about it... Be happy because the person at least knows it exists, most doesn't.

DEVs will not look at these posts, the community will not understand what you mean, and the subject will go down because people want to discuss how to deal with racists and trash talk about female models.

No one wants to discuss game mechanics and balance here, move on to the game forum (it's not perfect but it's better there).

Get out of range and parry would be my best options, if it's just a single morph then a regular timed parry should still block it.

back pocket shortsword does wonders if you get used to it.

"Oh no, it's a longspear/halberd/zweihander/whatever user that knows morphs!"
*pokes with baby sword faster*

For all the people trying to claim "Tactical thinking", hardly anyone wants to open up their options by bringing a backup 1 or 2 point weapon with their big boy weapons.

The parry frame is way too generous to complain about countering morphing.

My advice? Stop trying to block early and wait for the attack to visibly execute.

Additional advice. Most people who get chambered after their morph will attempt to block if you startup your chamber counter, usually allowing for a poke or overhead depending on your weapon. It also doesn't hurt if it's a duel stalemate and you answer with a kick to decrease their stamina and allow you an opportunity to beat them down until they drop their armaments. Then again, I'm only a duel type so there are too many mixups that you can use to summarize.

Official discord also works.
