I agree. I will never not want a lute player behind me. I'll always welcome them to join me. I feel that it makes the game more entertaining, and more entertaining means more fun.
If you're suffering because one or two people on frontline are playing the lute, you should probably work on improving your skills because plenty of people still get top of the board and win, even with a lute player accompanying them.
Don't blame the lute for your loss when it's you that can't compete as well as the other players.
I get even more enjoyment when that one tryhard like the OP goes in to kill me, the lute player, so I votekick his ass and everybody votes yes because they know why I launched the vote
Dudes!!!! Dito Dito Dito, cannot add anything to it, that is also precisely what keeps me going. I also have combat-ready lute builds! I love making people happy (or mad if those poor souls cant let ppl have fun....) with the lute.
One time we played frontline on camp and the first objective coming from red - there is a house in which I was having a party with some gentlemen, the house was raving (so small but we were like 6 people in there). I was feeling confident that I boost the moral of our men & apparently also the enemies directly outside heard that there was something going on.
One of them wrote: "this one guy playing take on me by abba" - "it cracks me up, i cant play"
I was so happy about that because I had fun, my mates were having fun & even some enemies were having fun & even incapable of properly fighting! Also I can kill with my lute, happened only twice so far, but I never really go for lute fighting :)
EDIT: There is too much negativity in the world, especially in the toxic gaming world & this game with that lute...I dont know, but it really feels different, music really does bring people together, even if its a mediocre MIDI track played via a program on a lute with limited tone range! And it brings so many hilarious situations :D Plus I love the head bobbing from people in combination with these taunts (emotes) + voice action....I am so glad Mordhau exists.
Vivaldi is wonderful, but almost too much for the lute with most MIDIs I found. Yours was really nice, Id also like to play some Wagner, Liszt & Dvorak but I am not quite satisified with the MIDI tracks I got so far but I will keep working on them.

That said it is annoying when half your team tries to be bards, maybe set a lute limit of like 2 at most. Really, there's no real need for more than 1 but 2 gives someone else the ability to slap people with a lute if they want to as opposed to standing around and using lutebot.
Speaking* is the word you're looking for.
Calling someone a neckbeard is pretty self explanatory ya unga bunga caveman drawing.
Lemme tell ya I have never in my life seen a tryhard, keyboard warrior, cheeto dust, neckbeard, soup brain lookin trogladite as mad as you are right now. My god you are absolutely fuming my guy, you had all morning and afternoon to calm your fat rolls and realize the utter pointlessness of your forum crusades yet here you are still just as buttmad as you were over 12 hours ago.
Should we contact the fire department to bust down your basement door and perform CPR on you? I know it's scary having any real human contact but I fear for your health. That being said they'll most likely be unable to wade through the absolute pig stein you call your basement, so maybe the CDC is more qualified to airlift your 500 pound gamer body out from your chair and into a hospital.
Why play a game if not for F U N
Also why do people complain so much about the lute this is not dota or csgo or lol its a fun type game. A game that you play to chill..
*plays country roads on lute*
*entire server stops fighting*
no. that's absolutely not what a game is. you're just obsessed with competition, for some reason. just admit that everyone gets to play the way they please. you grief people that don't play the way you want. that's about as counter productive as playing the lute.
basically, you're a toxic, self centered idiot highlighting nonsense to assert a nonsensical opinion.
you're no better than them and I'm certain you make the matches far more unpleasant for those around you than the people playing music.
and here one thing games are supposed to be: fun.
