Short Sword, usually. For the same price as Cleaver and Dagger, you get decent slashes, stabs, and even better range.

Dagger is more fun, though. Feels like a prison shanking.

cleaver for slash atacks . dagger for stab atacks .

cleaver is dealy against 0-1 armor. but still somehat strong aven against armor
dagger is worse against no armor but better against armor

you can drag with cleaver . not realy with dagger

dagger requires more skill

I use 1pt weapons when I'm playing vulture (playing a heavy armor/perks loadout with the intent of picking up a weapon). While daggers can kill plate wearers faster, plate wearers aren't my targets because they aren't carrying the weapons I want (they spent their points on armor, not weapons). So I go with the cleaver because it can 1 shot no armor heads and 2 shot low armor legs. It's stamina game is also ever-so-slightly less terrible.

TL;DR: Daggers make better secondary weapons while Cleavers make better "primary" weapons.

It depends, I prefer cleaver as a main weapon, but dagger as a side-arm, usually for landing the last hit.

Really quick chamber speeds for dagger, though slashes don't do much. I prefer the dagger though. In most cases I'll use an arming sword and sacrifice something else. Dagger does a really surprising amount of stab damage.
