The problem with the reward system is that it rewards player's very little for the score and kills they get (up to 50 gold only) and instead rewards the players based on the amount of time the match took to finish. So hypothetically, a match finished in 5 minutes will get everyone something around 100 coins plus up to a dozen extra for their score, while a 15 minute match will give everyone 300 plus 30-50 coin based on their score.
It's a very bad system that doesn't reward player skill (ironic for a skill based game) and it's not the first time I've seen it. Even Chivalry Medieval Warfare had this problem. I can't imagine why they would pick such a reward system.
Wait what, its rewarded on time? i thought it was rewarded on kills AND score together, that explains alit, the game is increadibly poorly managed in rewarding system to the point its really difficult to figure out how you get better rewards lol.
Dude. I played Vanilla WoW. Thats a horrible comparison because Vanilla WoW didnt have any cosmetic items. You had to farm actual gear items and have them stashed in your bags taking up room. The current WoW expansion has transmogrification which made that so much better.
I played all the stock classes first. Usually archer and builder classes mostly and sometimes melee and I get 500+ gold a match for defending objectives and not just based on kills. I bought all my favorite weapons first, then I bought cosmetics later when I built up 3-4k gold. Its really not as hard as you think to gather gold. You get a good amount from playing Horde maps too. If you complete maybe 10-15 waves solo you get almost 2k gold.
I have played less than 125 hours since I bought the week it was released, I have bought almost all my favorite weapons and armor, I am level 44, and I have 26k gold to spare.
I have 116 hours and I have plenty of gold. I am not a pro either. I play mostly archer and builder. I do the objectives. I get a LOT of assists. I get 500+ gold per match. You dont have to have a huge KD to get gold. I play a ton of Horde mode too and that gets good gold. I have 28k gold in surplus at level 43 lol If he is lacking gold that makes him REALLY bad at the game lol
Only thing I haven't really purchased is armor. I have more than enough of each level armor and I dont really need more than that. I have all but maybe 5 weapons unlocked as well. Just ones I dont really like or use.
Given I've unlocked just about every helm, torso and leg piece, and still have to unlock the plumes, but I don't have any plans to do so...
Trust me when I say, once you've unlocked everything, you'll be wishing that the grind was longer.
Cosmetics aren't that much of a grind to get unless you want those flashy ones
