Blade & Sorcery

Blade & Sorcery

Trouble with Dismemberment.
Its weird like the dismemberment doesnt really work on my end, its enabled in the options. Is anyone else having trouble? The trailer made the game more realistic.

Yeah I tried to follow it and the one thing was I couldnt find an "Experimental" Option in the options. Is there a mod or anything like that, I can appreciate the skill based dismembers but I just wanna have some fun lol.

Yes here is the mod 'simple dismemberment' like I was saying above - https://www.nexusmods.com/bladeandsorcery/mods/1289

And btw the dev option in the book is up the top in the middle, it looks like a monkey face.

It is indeed very tough! It was made trickier to encourage skill-based dismembers but also to make them not too frequent and less cartoony like Gorn, where limbs are flying everywhere. Here is a tutorial I made on it if you are interested in practicing, https://youtu.be/yE9dlUDZr4Y otherwise check on nexusmods.com for a mod called "simple dismemberment" which makes it much easier.

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

One last question, for that website, do you have to make an account for it in order to download mods?

I believe you do. But, it is extremely worth it. You get access to like 10X more content than the base game currently offers. No slight intended to Blade and Sorcery, it's among best VR games you can get.

Does the simple dismemberment mod work with the Outer Rim (Star wars mods)?

Very much so. I have used Nexus Mods (including the mod manager, though you do not need that part if you don't want to use it) for approximately a year now without any issues. I highly recommend that you check out the mods for this game, as do numerous youtube channels that showcase them. It's highly worth it for increasing your replay value. I'm at like 108 in-game hours and counting, many thanks to new maps, weapons, and other things to mess around with.

The linked mod page for simple dismemberment lists it as compatible with The Outer Rim.

The Knight Training mod has a much more uh.. well, they literally just slice and dice, as lightsabers should. Note: it makes things SO easy to slice you may feel the game is too easy. I somewhat reduced that by how I take duels now for practice purposes, but yeah, if you want a lightsaber to slice like it should, then Knight Training is a great mod for Outer Rim.

Nexus is safe but they do have an annoying account system and push their mod loader when the mods are literally so easy to install you just toss them in a folder.

The main problem I had with dismembership is that I am on the Quest, and doing an offscreen swing messes up the tracking and then I get a velocity that's not equal to what I am doing IRL, or the angle/delay messes up the intention. Hoping to improve this somehow if perhaps I get an index at some point.

One thing with the mods thats confusing is that some mods have multiple files, like "Force Push" or "M9 Bayonette" how do I know which files to drag in the MODS folder.

And one other question, from what I saw I just need to make a folder labelled "MODS" and drag the files? Or just drag the mods to the streamdata file?

Just the streamdata folder I believe.

You drag the mod folder into "StreamingAssets" Make sure the mod folder isn't two folders deep,
otherwise the mod won't work.
