Favorite Job/pairing and why?
:8bitheart: Wildchild because I enjoy the skill collect mechanic, the close combat & crowd control and the synergy it has with other jobs.

:8bitheart: Sword Dancer for the technical gameplay it brings if played alone while it still synergies well with other melee classes.

:8bitheart: Soulkeeper when I want to main crossbow and solo play. It's ranged abilities work well and the summons help you a lot in close combat situations. One could go with a Floramancer instead for the trap gameplay with summons and use a bow, but I enjoy the Soulkeepers skills more.

Pairing wise I have not done so yet so I cannot say however I will update with one when I try them all out. What are your favorites to play solo or paired?

The ranger sets traps too, when we bought all the skills we suddenly had a summon wolf skill aswell. The paladin haves an innteresting healing mechanic but the game seems to lack healing spells overall. Not tried all classes yet to be honest. And not sure what people mean with solo play since this seems to be a pure single player game.

By solo I mean single class without subs.

I don't understand the allure of playing Tangledeep as a single class, but to each their own.

I love the Edge Thane passives and emblem stuff but am not a huge fan of most of their skills, so I like starting with Floramancer for summons and creeping, snagging top tier Brigand/Paladin/Wild Child (just freebies while you get XP for Sword) attack abilities, dipping Monk for stun immunity, and then ending up with Edge Thane. This lets you gain Stamina and Energy on Song level up, your songs level faster and last longer (to give you more chances to max them), Song of Spirit gives you cheaper skill activations + lets you convert your Energy and Stamina back into Health (even after combat has ended). You also have Song of Might for when you need to drop a whupping in a hurry, and Verse of Suprression + Gold Emblem give great passive CC while Verse of the Elements works quite nicely with Radiant Hammer and Creeping Death on really tough enemies.

Plus Sneak Attack with a two-handed sword is pretty great for high damage and follow up autoparry from Sword Mastery.

We personally do not understand multy classing. Seems like you can make some over powered combinations with them, and they in general just add so much skills to the bars.

Why yes, multi classing does make you stronger and give you more options. Rarely do I see these discussed as negatives in build conversations, but it’s your game experience, you do you.

I also find that I run out of uses for JP fairly early on if I don’t multi class, and I hate wasting resources in roguelikes, especially on NG+.

Not sure how far you are but it does get harder after every boss.
