Got an error message? Here's how to find your output log!

[Impact Gameworks]

If you encounter an in-game error, the "output_log.txt" and "Player.log" files can be extremely helpful for debugging. You can find these files here:

OSX: ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
Windows: In your Steam library folder: /steamapps/common/Tangledeep/Tangledeep_Data

If it's not there, try: username\AppData\LocalLow\ImpactGameworks\Tangledeep\output_log.txt

Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/ImpactGameworks/Tangledeep/Player.log

If your save game is not loading, send us a ZIP file of your save directory. The saves are typically located in:

OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.ImpactGameworks.Tangledeep
Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/ImpactGameworks/Tangledeep
Windows: YourUserName/AppData/LocalLow/ImpactGameworks/Tangledeep

Where would you like these uploaded? I lost a character to going into a teleport portal in town then laoding into a black screen with a white square in the middle, which proceded to softlock the game and absolutely flood the screen with a red error message at the bottom left corner. Not angry or anything a bout the char, just wanted to let you guys know :)

I have installed it but when I enter #da_bug_zone ! it tells me that it is an invalid channel.

Running on OS X. Game play froze, displayed message to find and copy "output_log.txt" No file by that name exists on my computer. No file by the name of any listed in this post are on my computer. None of the folder chains exist. I can't even find the game itself, because of however Steam is hiding applications.

Check for Player.log as well; sometimes it is saved under this name.

Nope. Nothing. How is this so up in the air? Why would there not be a consistent name format/file tree location for this?

~/Library/Application Support/

Do you have ANY folders with the word Unity or Impact Gameworks or Tangledeep? It's possible the OS is hiding something from you here.

Okay, finally found something. Was looking in the system-wide library and application support, not the user-specific one. Weird that search refused to call it up, even though I searched for it verbatim.

Still no files that end in .log or .txt of any kind.

Another place your output_log.txt file might hang out:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tangledeep\Tangledeep_Data

or you can go to your library, right-click on the game, click properties, click the LOCAL FILES tab, and click BROWSE LOCAL FILES...
