Save Editor Released
https://github.com/Synthlight/Hellpoint-Save-Editor

Mostly done for fun. Far from perfect, but good enough to use. Now to get back to playing.

And no, this won't help you find Dargass Tower.

Awesome, Dante! I used your rift tweak and have found a new appreciation for this game!
Thanks!

It's not in Sohn, it's out past the space walk in Arcology Underside. Lots of platforming to get there and you don't have to actually fight the transporter boss there to get it.

If you wanted though, you could add the material to your inventory with the editor.

The game syncs with the server. You have to edit your save, disconnect from the internet and then load the save. Once in game, save and quit to update the time stamp. Next time you connect online, it won't overwrite with the backup since your current one has a later time stamp.

I know it says i need the .NET framework to run it and it says I have a newer version installed when I try to install the installer.

How do I run the save editor? There's no executable, do I need to compile it first?

There is an exe. Its called Save-Editor.exe. You must not have downloaded the release.

notepad ++ direct edit the save file... it's not too hard to do, they didn't encode the file. So plane text file.

Sure, if you want to guess what every entry is or spend a ton of time narrowing down searches. Or just use the save editor that has the name of most of the items included so there is no guesswork =P

You can't do this whilst the game is running. The game will simply overwrite your changes.
Shut the game down, edit the file, **REMEMBER TO SAVE**, then launch and go.

No, you don't need to be offline. you just need to make sure the game isn't running. It won't use a Steam cloud save if the local file is newer, although it might if the local file is corrupt.

Ah ok, read another post on here about needing to disconnect to swap saves. They may have been mistaken then.

I have to say..your editor already saved me from 2 different bugs. I had a model pickup stuck inside geometry and I couldn't pick it up..so I just spawned in the helmet. Then I had the Architect quest just..skip? He disappeared from his spawn and just popped into the Observatory, skipping his entire questline. So I just spawned in his armor set and the cube program I would have gotten. I probably would have dropped this game already from all of the bugs if I wasn't able to fix them with this.

As I said:

If they're swapping saves with an older backup, or an older file from someone else or something, then yea, you either need to disable cloud saves, go offline, or change the modification date on the file.
