Am I the only one seeing these two licensed and trademarked characters on the store page? Are they distant, lookalike doppelgangers?

Dude, Dungeon Master and the unicorn are in the game, have been for quite some time.

Hasbro owns D&D, this is a D&D game, QED.

They did a small PR push when they released him last year. Drew every heavy on the nostalgia for the old Saturday morning cartoon. They teased about possibly bringing in the other characters from the show. That would be interesting ONLY if they balanced their abilities to be an effective formation. But, I kinda doubt they would do that. Might risk making either too powerful of a team, a fully gimped team designed to be less gimped together, or would at least wreck the balance on other specific formations they're trying to meta on.

Still, for pure nostalgia, I hope they do it. Even if the formation (by affiliation) is only a solid B team. i'd be okay with that.

I mean, I don't see why they'd be any more or less powerful than any other teams. There are tons of themed teams in this game. The D&D cartoon characters ain't special for any particular reason. And if they jacked it up, they'd probably do a rework for their very own season :P

I still remember having to wait for a season finale, having to go to church, and never being able to watch it, forever...until the internet.

Some of the first ebay DVD rips I bought for myself were DnD, Zelda and Mario, and the Gummy Bears, Tailspin etc. They were all VHS rips but totally worth my time, especially back then (early 2000s)

until now, I didnt even know that the cartoon took place in the D&D universe! In germany, it had a totally different name and D&D wasnt really known here at that time! I just saw these old cartoons of my childhood and though "What! I havent seen these for like 30 years, what do they do in a D&D game!" haha

DSA was very well known, because its the german adaption of D&D ;) We all played DSA when were were kids, I never heard of D&D at that time
