POST ENDGAME DLC Discussion: What are your thoughts on Itsuki?
During my initial run-throughs of the game, I was intrigued by Itsuki as a character. As many of you already know, he's proven himself to be manipulative, wistful with his past, lonely, and somewhat of an outsider when it comes to associating himself with other people.

Now taking the good/bad endings into consideration, what do you think is going to happen next (assuming the devs are kind enough to answer that for us in the future)?

TLDR: What do you think of Itsuki as a character and where do you think the story is heading?

Two things:

1. Do you know when that update/dlc might be rolling along here?

2. What were your thoughts on the story?

A bit lackluster and still leaves a couple of questions, like information on Lievre's master (who we see only for a couple of seconds) and the whereabouts of Itsuki after the true ending.

Eeeeeeh
Considering its SAO we talking about here
He's prolly gonna kill himself...

To be fair the story is the single weakest point of this game and nothing you say can make me change my opinion, had the story revolved around Llenn's gang instead of Kirito's the game would have been VASTLY better

In fact....You can switch around Llenn and Kirito in the plot and NOTHING would've changed ?

He's actually quite poorly written. The whole game has an awful script overall. Mind you, I love FB. But I can't get behind the writing.

There's no story up until the final stretch, when Itsuki does a 180 and decides he's obsessed with you. That whole arch has an interesting premise, but everything else is so poorly realized that this aspect of the plot fails to fit.

Then, DLCs 1 through 3 tackle something else entirely and that storyline might be the best story this game has to offer. DLC4 is nothing but fanservice, literally. Until you unlock the true ending, which is the only part that matters. It pretty much sets up Itsuki to be somewhat integral to Lycoris, though there's still more story content for us to go through with the upcoming winter update (which doesn't have a release date). So who knows? Maybe there'll be a conclusion to his arch there, since Subtilizer is likely meant to be the antagonist in Lycoris.

Everytime I remember how terrible the writing is, I wish this game didn't have to be associate with the SAO license.

Yeah, the writing certainly could have been better. But I just like to turn off my brain and enjoy the novelty nevertheless

shame fatal bullet will never be able to be its own game without having to be tied down to SAO....means we'll never get a sequel...

That and even if there was a sequel, it would FOR SURE involve Kirito one way or the other. I mean, he is not a bad character. but he is not like Goku. Dragonball would be nonsense without Goku, but SAO would be a fine series without Kirito, get what I mean?

Yeah, like the concept of playing the game as your own character instead of Kirito was a nice change of pace storywise. It was like taking the scenic route in this story's world. I mean, I like GGO's concept, and how there was this dude named Itsuki who had his own issues that the plot sort of revolved around. I'm hoping we get some kind of sequel or add-on because I'm the kind of gamer that likes closure for the story stuff.

This game has a very unique concept and it is worth expanding on - that is for sure. I mean, I have played a lot of games by now, but nothing like it.

The most similar game to this, would probably be borderlands, but it's just not the same.
