It's not exactly free to keep the lights on in their studios. It also cost money for the licensing of the songs, and paying people to map these songs.
Edit: Also, it's part of the Rocket League OST.... yeah you can bet it was not cheap to license these songs.
i don't mind paid packs (i just don't care for panic at the disco (lol) and imagine dragons (sweet baby jesus who listens to this ♥♥♥♥) but you can bet they got the license for these songs cheap _because_ it's a collab with RL.
How can a DLC, that is optional, be overwhelming? It's just a couple of tracks. And how can it be annoying since it's optional?
mods working again, lol.
in the end the main reason the paid packs exist is because of the PSVR, we have to think of them as well since they dont get any custom songs. Imo its better them releasing more packs more often for the PSVR players. You dont even have to buy it if you dont want
I'm always hyped when I see Official releases, the mapping is so much better, I spent probably over $100 back in the Rockband 1/2/3 days and I don't expect these packs to be free (maybe because I'm gen X)
Ditto on Panic and Imagine dragons, it's funny that I was hesitant to buy Beat Saber for fear of it being all techno/rap when the 'established bands' are my least favorite to listen to.
I.D. sounds like what military boot camp music would sound like, it's god-awful.
