Sabers getting stuck in place
Recently I've started having issues as i played beat saber. These issues never really occurred during my early days of beat saber possible because i was slow, but now as i'm getting faster at the game and better i'm experiencing these problems more frequently as i do harder songs. What happens is on fast or big swings i end up loosing tracking in my controller (if not tracking then something else occurs) and it freezes in place with the ability to rotate only. It will normally get stuck in place for 1 - 2 seconds making me fail some extreme songs. This occurs frequently when i do fast and long swings. Almost every song i do will have this issue and its really messing with me. My VR is the oculus if that has anything to do with the issue but tracking should be good unless i'm going to fast for the sensors to pick up the movements. If anyone knows why this occurs and how to fix it that would be great.

Try pairing the controllers again, I had a similar issue with the Vive Pro.

I have the same problem. I tried repairing and it did nothing. Sometimes I notice it and it corrects itself before I can react. Might this be worse with mods? I have a few but I'm uninstalling most, just got them to try them out.

I've also noticed, and I'm not sure if this is a seperate issue or if it might be connected, but when checking how much battery life my coulus touch controllers have, they say they're full even though I can use them for an hour everyday for a week straight. They never change.

Similar issue but right side controller just kinda "wanders off". Got a whole new Vive setup and same issue occurs so it isnt hardware. I'm wondering if it is something with Beat Saber itself.

I'm having the same issue but with my left controller (red) where it drifts off into the distance and comes back right after

When did this start for you? Also I know a common thing is that if a TV is near or facing the setup, that can occur. Not in my case but it may help you.

Sounds like you should check your room for reflective surfaces or buy a 3rd senor or try to re-arrange to reduce the chances of that happening, I have a Vive so I wouldn't know oculus issues too well, but re-configuring your setup or reinstalling drivers may help., you could also try different usb ports on you PC and see if that helps.

Yeah, do try to close curtains and turn off lights if you can. Especially mid-day when I'm playing in VR with my curtains open, the bright sunshine does make a tracking difference as opposed to closed curtains.

I borrowed a friends computer to see if it still happened on both vives and it did. So probably just something with vive software or beat saber for me. (There was no reflective surfaces visible and no windows)

Try deleting your steam VR settings the file for that should be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config" (unless you have steam installed on a different drive), and then run the game without changing anything.

Gave it a shot. Seemed to fix it for a bit but then it started up again. Thanks though!

Check this discussion from another game, it describes pretty much the same issues and
the first post includes a possible fix: https://steamcommunity.com/app/494150/discussions/0/1694914735991065294/?ctp=2

At least on the Rift the touch controllers spring, that holds the battery in place, is not strong enough. If you do fast swings with a lot energy, the battery moves and might lose contact for a split seconds and this causes the controllers to disappear or behave strange.

This made it a lot better for me.

But there seems to be still an issue related to the game, that when the swords cross in close distance they seem to get stuck as well.
