Edit: After playing all the new songs (OS2 and DLC).. yeah, most are super easy. Only a couple are really "difficult" and that's mainly because they have patterns that throw you off or they have sections that are FAR more difficult than the other 95% of the song.. which for me anyway, doesn't make for a good song.
That said, it could simply be that either I'm having a SUPER on the ball night, or they made the entire game a bit easier. I just went back to the "old" songs and blew through the K-POP one on expert+ with fast mode on. I've never been able to do that, though I've come close a few times. This time felt like it was a lot easier, or at least I never felt remotely overwhelmed by it. Seeing as that's a lot faster (by default, let alone fast mode) than the other songs I've been playing all night.. well, it felt odd to just jump into that and go, yeah.. this isn't bad at all.
I can't really put a finger on what could be different - the map was the same, and it seemed to be the same speed. My controllers repeatedly goofed on me and either went right through blocks or vanished entirely a couple times (as in, I cut a block and got credit but didn't even feel feedback from it or see the blade).. but on the whole it still felt easier than it has in the last couple weeks I've been playing it.

KDA was the worst, it was stupidly difficult and not made with the flow of the song.
I mean beating the song to completion means you are past the training wheels. You did good enough not to fail. Now, do the harder stuff such as increase speeds and other modifications. Get the highest score possible which requires better perfection than your peers.
Early on for everyone there is usually a point where E, N, H, Ex, Ex+ someone falls into there as a starting point. People get used to the stuff and eventually get better. You make self challenges with the tools available. It doesn't need to be fed to you to say hey beat this arbitrary difficulty rating. Go beat the #1 person on the scoreboard instead and you'll have the rivalry of someone who wants to take it back so its a moving target.
POP/STARS's Expert+ was one of the best E+ maps out of the original 11.

And, btw, it took quite a few attempts to get an FC on that. It wasn't no sad first-attempt-FC like Emoji VIP.
Yeah, those two are both excellent songs. POP/STAR'S is my favorite out of any of them so far. It's far from being stupidly hard. These new ones are mostly not even "hard", they're almost boring in comparison. A couple of them have some hard sections, but not even those songs are mostly easy. Songs like that are just the worst in my opinion.
But i agree that some official map should be harder , i dont see the point of buying a song if im going to beat it first try
and overkill is already mapped with 2 hards map , so i think its a dlc for ps4 players more than us
