Beat Saber Difficulty modes

I've been playing Beat Saber for about 2 weeks now and it's been an absolute blast, however I wish there was a harder difficulty. The very first mode I tried was "Hard" and I had a ton of fun playing all the songs on that difficulty, eventually- after a bunch of songs- I was able to easily finish most levels on expert.

But now I can very easily play any song on expert, and while I don't have an "S" rank on all levels, I'd still like to have a harder mode available.

PLEASE ADD AN "INSANE" MODE. Thanks.

download modded songs, there are way way more difficult songs

also there are mods that let you increase the speed of a song.

That is a great suggestion, however the mods for Beat Saber are unnofficial. They can only be downloaded from a random 3rd party, and I've no intention of contracting any viruses, even if it says it's safe.

I have no idea why the devs for this game don't have Steam Workshop on here.

The devs will likely never make a workshop. Due to legality with copyright music. Beatsaver is kind of the lifeblood of beatsaber. Almost every beatsaber player uses it to get all the songs.
By making it an "unofficial" mod, the devs are free from copyright issues

There is already an Expert+ difficulty but the OST songs don't have maps for it yet.

its not random at all, there is one collective source created by the community.

there is not even a tiny chance of you getting a virus through the beatsaver modding tools.

you actually can get viruses from steam workshop, probably much more likely than from beatsaver, where all the code for the plugins are public on github.

and the reason there will never be workshop support for songs is because copyright laws, there is no way the devs will ever officially support any form of music sharing.


modding is not some obscure thing done spread warez sites anymore, fear of viruses from modding in general is laughable and paranoid these days.

but if you want to cut yourself off from 90% of why people play this game thats your choice, but there's a reason you're hearing complaining about having run out of things to play.

For any young ones, or people with the mental capacity of a young being, this post is for the devs. It's not a post for talking about very obvious copyright issues that everybody knows about, or mentioning beatsaver a million times. So I ask to please not get the wrong idea.

Now for a game that's such a hit, the devs are obviously going to increase the song library, I mean Guitar Hero didn't only have 10 songs. So my request is for them to simply give us more official game material. Not some 3rd party source doing all the work. I'd like harder difficulties, a bigger variety of different modes, and perhaps- If possible- multiplayer.

And again, since the part of the steam community that reads these posts don't seem to
understand. I do not want Beatsaver to do it instead, I want the game I bought to do it.

And I'm sure they are constantly working very hard on this game, so no rush.

Yeah, you'll just have to be patient. I've heard they are working on an official custom song mapper & multiplayer of some sort, but as for a workshop I don't know. I don't really get why you are so averse to mods though, condescending to the people just trying to tell you that your only option right now is mods & that it's somewhat unreasonable to think of any & all mods as full of eeevil viruses. Do you only play all of your games vanilla? No Skyrim mods, Minecraft mods? You do you I suppose.

Yes indeed, thank you. I have no idea what's wrong with most people on posts, My whole point was about the devs adding stuff to the game. If a game exists, and it's popular enough, of course it will have mods.

However, what makes a great game is not having to need mods for it to be great. And for whatever reason, ignorant foul mouthed children like "Space Pirate" can't seem to grasp that.

Also, to answer your question earlier, yes I have played Angel Voices and I love it, but I haven't been able to get S rank on expert, only A rank.

Good job I always fail when the music changes to the more remix sounding part and I did hear at one point that the devs were working on making official custom songs

Were people being blunt? Sure. Did Space Pirate take it a little too far? Maybe. But you are still being an immature, condescending jerk.
