[Modding] BeatSaber Custom Songs | Map your own!

We've been working hard over the last few days to create an editor so that anyone can download the editor and start working on their own songs.
If you are just looking for more songs for your game, this is for you too! Our SongLoader mod allows you add any custom made level to your game.

We now have 2 working editors, one in 2D and one in 3D.

I appreciate your effort and I am sure you put a lot work into this. But isn't the official editor just comming out very soon? I mean, I am not sure if your work gets the deserved attention now. For me, I will just wait a week I think to use the official one, but I hope you will excite some poeple. :) Keep on!

We developed this about 3 days ago and have over 4000 members in the discord - Including the Developers of BeatSaber. Yes they are releasing a (basic) editor, but with our unofficial ones, you will have more options.

Thanks for clarifing this. So I guess both editors will stand for themselves then and coexist. One for the usual music and beatmap creation and one for the more complicated stuff. I'm excited to see what poeple will be doing (with whatever editor). :)

Played already lots of custom songs

This is a great work and idea.

But my problem with it is almost all song are only expert (or rather insane) mode only. I can't play expert mode due to shoulders injury, even though I wish I could. The few song that have hard mode are more looking like expert than hard. It is fan made so you can feel the problem in the beat not following the music or the direction being all other the place.
Also I noticed that the beat sound is higher than the music track and for some musics it does not sounds good at all. Some musci are great with the beat sound. Some are not.

Though it is a great work and it is amazing you came up with it in such a short time. And knowing the Beat Sabers dev are following your work is a great plus. The discord comunity is very nice and helpful too!

I look forward for possibility to have songs availaible in hard and other mode other than expert (I wonder if a beat generator coudl be made by your awesome team). As as point/ranking.

most people that seriously play the game eventually find expert easy and boring on the regular songs. It's fantastic how hard and different most of the custom songs are. I know it sucks for your shoulder but I hate to break it to you, you are the minority. Shouldn't be playing basketball with a busted knee. Also the creators of custom songs usually make a version they find fun and challenging. Most of the time they are highly skilled at the game. Imagine making a level that you play later to realize how dull it is for you. The creator of the custom song is making it more for themselves than other people as they are not making money (maybe recognition)

I will have to disagree on some point: There is actually around same number of players playing hard moe than expert. Though I agree, expert is more fun, the problem with the creator of beat saver is their issues with level scaling. The "hard" song are more of Expert/expert++ and expert song are expert++++ (PS: I can play 2 of vanilla expert song now so I can compare).

Though I must say they offer possibility for feedback and comment on song to help creators to improve.

I found only 3 song so far that fits perfectly and are made with care: Flyers, imperial march and I expect you to die (very original and fitting scheme try it)
So I hope we will see more of these creators.

I do not think they only make the song for themselves. I think some care about sharing a nice and fun experience. But if you read the comments, many complained about the diffuiclty and some songs not being fun.

We should just say what is real. The creators need to improve. It does not mean they are bad. Just there is a need for a new level name (aka Insane for example) and a more polished experience. Many songs are messy at the moment.

But this is just my observation and opinion. The program is great and some of the songs are superb. And I look forward to what they make in the future after the program and creator have improved.

My Custom songs are not showing in game for some reason. I modded beat saber & the custom songs folder was made, i added songs into that folder, the modder see them & says i can edit, But they do not show in game. Do i have to do something else ?

Did you run the "(Patch & Launch)" exe that comes with the mod? You only have to run it once and then you can go back to using the normal Beat Saber.exe, running it through SteamVR, etc.
