That's true, but if you look at Audiosurf, there it works pretty well.
Handcrafted levels are always better, I currently think of Rocksmith 2014, where everyone can create songs for the game. A level editor for Beat Saber could not only give players the possibility to add a lot of quality content to the game for free, it would also attract more players that don't like the idea of a 10 song limit and possibly paid DLCs for more content.
The devs announced a level editor for the future, but since it's early access it's not in yet.
Ah ok. i will keep an eye on the game then.
