A way to change the colours?

Red and Blue are really hard to tell apart, at least for me. The K/DA song, where everything is yellow and purple is way easier as the colours are... not red and blue. The existence of a song with different colours shows me that it isn't impossible. Is there anyway to change this WITHOUT MODS?

im no coding wiz, but since some songs have different colored sabers by default, there may be a way to do it in the files of the game

You cannot modify the game files directly. The Custom Colors mod is the only way to go.

In fact, it was apparently a tricky mod to implement since it wasn't perfected until like the third attempt. The first attempt resulted in the Rainbow Colors mod where it altered colors but only randomly. The second attempt was kind of ugly since it was a bit glitchy and it indirectly changed the colors by altering the hue of the entire game. Then the third attempt gave us direct control to change the color of the red and blue objects/lighting.

Modding beatsaber is super easy. Just mod it, it will be 10X better.

I know, I just prefer not to mod games. No real reason, just preference I suppose. It also just seems like a feature that should exist by default.

Sadly, there's quite a few features that mods provides that should be included in the game. They may be included in the future as as we saw they do support multiple colors (Crab Rave and POP/STARS both have custom colors).

With a game so reliant on colours for gameplay, you'd think it'd be a must. I wouldn't consider myself colourblind, I'm just an idiot who find red and blue harder to tell apart then other colours in a split second, there are plenty of people who are. Bit of a shame there isn't even an option to have an L and an R on the squares.

To be fair, you only have 4 hours in this game, you didn't give yourself time to learn muscle memory at all, but I get your point.

I get that but it's very hard to get the muscle memory when the colours are hard to tell apart.
