Songs that are normal and hard.

Almost every custom song i find is Expert or expert+ only. Is there anyway way to filter searching to hard or normal. i know you can tell the mod list to go from hardest to easiest but there is so much expert level songs its a headache to go through

Sadly most of the mod maps are only Expert and Expert+.
There are some Normal/Hards in there that are good but like you said its not very easy to search for them.
Best tip is just going downward through the most played mod songs and downloading the ones that have a Normal/Hard mapping.
That way i found about 30 songs or so that i are comfortable to play at my level of skill.
Just be aware that mod "hard" is usually a lot tougher then the included official maps on "hard".
At least in my experience.

Best tip is play the OST/DLCs until you at least can manage the expert maps for it. Diving into custom songs before that point is usually a bad idea, for any rhythm games not just Beat Saber.

thank you for the tips and for the link to bsaber.com and i been abit more focused on the ost and dlcs mostly aside from the odd few custom songs i keep punishing myself on but slowly getting better at lol.

Not sure if you have already downloaded it but me and a bunch of some of the top mappers released a map pack for the 1 year anniversary that has about 27 maps I think? but ALL of them have at least down to hard but most have all the way down to easy. You can find them all under the account "AnniversaryTeam" on BeatSaver

Look up maps by MajorPickle on bsaber.com. His are tailored for pure fun and not E++++++++ bragging. Don't be intimidated by the Hard or Expert tags though, all of his maps are very enjoyable.
