This is bad advice. You need to use the new color customisation option to swap colors.
Left handed, however, swapped the game play so that the level is flipped vertically but then swapping the the hand that the cube is cut with; this means that the colours stay the same, it jus flips the level without meaning you must cross your arms over.
I recommend you do both if you are to swap the controllers so that the it swapped the colour and gameplay for what they are for most people whilst you can still swap the controllers.
