Portal 2 trading cards?

It says I get 4 of the cards from purchasing the game, and 4 from playing it. I already bought the game a long time ago, and I did not recieve the 4 cards. Do I have to buy it again or something?

You can only ever get 4 total. You get them by playing the game (being in-game) for several hours.

Yes, you will either have to buy or trade for the rest.

Is this seriously how this works? What a bunch of crap. I thought the cards were neat until now. Steam/Valve is turning into a bunch of garbage. Steam is not myspace/Facebook.

Market. Just type in Portal, it will show you all the backgrounds, emoticons, and cards.

is it normal that i'm not getting cards from tf2 or portal? Do you get them by doing achievements?

You get Portal cards simply by playing the game. TF2 is a bit different since it's a free to play game. You have to spend money on ingame content (chests etc) to get TF2 cards.
