Permanent Partner view?
Hello!

Do you know if there is a way to toggle a permanent TAB view? In co-op, it could be really useful to see all the time what your partner is looking at. There is a few co-op maps, like the Gelocity series (race maps that I greatly recommend) where there is a switch at the beginning that activates this feature, and when I discovered it I found it was really great. I'd like to see this feature in regular testing Co-op.

See you soon online,
delo

I think the most easiest way is to just remap it to something like num+ and then put something fairly heavy on it, like a deodorant or an empty glass or whatever and it's all tidy :D

Put a rock on the Tab button.
That's all I've got.

Typing into the developer console "+remote_view" will force the partner view on, though it will probably need to be re-entered every time you play a map. The commands
bind g "+remote_view; +remote_view"
bind h "-remote_view; -remote_view"
should make the "g" key enable the partner view and the "h" key disable it (you can change these keys to anything).

Even if I love the "rock/deodorant/weight solution", I must say that I tried to train my cat holding the TAB key but the only result is a whole lot of scratches on my keyboard, my arm, and my patience.
The "bind" command seems to be much more elegant, actually.

I'll give it a try, thank you so much, Portal nerds. Now my cat can have a rest. And some cake.
...And me too :D
