I second that except I would suggest completing the single player campaign all together. There is a game mechanic that you really need to understand before attempting the campaign. I would also like to suggest that if you have never played Portal before that you purchase 2 copies of the original Portal and play that through first - although Portal 2 does an excellent job of introducing all the game play concepts and mechanics on a very gentle learning curve.
I am playing single player right now and learning the game, but it hasn't explained anything I saw in co-op. What does the eyeball mean for that F-controlled laser? and the timer? etc. Is there a place I can look up definitions for these?
