New game/load black screen

Even reloading the game doesn't work, just black screen every time I try to load or start a new game. Worked fine before I went to sleep though

Oh man, can't load my game, 10 times in a row, now, even after data verification. This is... not happening neither on desmune nor zsnes...

Same issue, although I am able to bypass the black screen after some attempts after closing and reopening the game...

So no fix for this? Just bought the game and cant start a new game because the screen just goes black. So, refund I guess?

The only thing I can tell is that I've completed this game, but each time was casino launching. Keep trying, maybe it will work after 3rd try, maybe after 10th, but it just has to click. Same thing happened with Persona 4 Golden, but even worse at times.

This seems to be something new. I can't even launch the game anymore, I think it's a problem with the Steam client. I did some debugging, and it is deadlocking in joystick code.

go to properties, general and in lauch option write -dx9 this solve the problem to me

Verifying game files, adding the -dx9 flag, disabling steam overlay, restarting several times. None of that worked for me. But if anyone is still having a problem with this, I'm using an AMD card and disabled *all* the toggles in the game's Adrenaline settings menu (image sharpening, all the anti-aliasing options, triple buffering, basically anything that was toggled on) and it started working after restarting the game. May just be unique to me or an AMD driver issue. No reason to keep all that stuff on for this anyway. Don't know which one in particular it was. I hope this helps someone.

did you do anything else to fix it? I've tried everything else in this thread too, and since i have AMD too I followed what you said and tried disabling everything too. I'm really not sure what will fix this.
