"Unworthy" is a 2-D pixelated souls-like metroidvania in a very stylish monochrome look - worldbuilding, art and animation is great, sound and atmosphere is somber and uncompromising, combat is more on the slow side, but has a good and dense pacing, enemy encounters and bosses are challenging and reward planned approaches as much as swift reaction, every weapon is useful and their mobility and exploration skills have a good feel of progression.

Now for the part that may be offputting for some: There is some backtracking (more so, if you go for secret hunting) and traversal between areas is slow. And the probably most puzzling part is the secret final boss , which is locked behind a missable quest and NG+ - this is a rather tedious endeavour since "Ghouls n' Ghosts"!

Nevertheless: A great title for every fan of the genre, that is well worth the price!

Boss fight are fun and hard, but i never had such meaningless exploration and mindnumbing traversial.
