war room map activation and enigma machine

fist of all. I tried to activate the war room map in order to set a course for manhattan. All i get is the u-boat diagram itself with no way to set a course for manhattan in the youtube gameplay there is no problem I tried completing side missions, and retracing my steps. no success the other thing is the enigma machine. the chair is on the upper level an i am not able to sit in it nor activate the enigma machine.

I'm having same problem with war room map, and getting same thing. Still working on it.

You choose which thing on the map is selected with the direction keys. You get more locations available as you progress. You don't get to use the enigma machine till you've done quite a lot of the game.
