- when I got my first USB headspeaker, I thought it was an error too, but an another, even more expensive piece also works like that.
Every time you reload the game I have to turn the headphone off and ON to get it working again... and if you get a cutscene it locks up until you turn the headphone off.
Damn annoying and only got this ever in this game.
Tried updating any required drivers for your headsets and soundcard?
So you said that your device uses generic drivers from windows update, there isn't a site to obtain drivers directly from the manufacture then? The best I've found is that apparently some rev's of your headset come with an optional wired connection.. Does yours have that option and have you tried it? (I know this would entirely defeat the purpose of a wireless headset but its worth trying for troubleshooting.)
To be clear, I'm not trying to give you hassle over this, I want you're stuff to work properly like it should.. Not sure why though since its not my headset lol.
I have checked to see if my headphone's manufacturter has a support site that would contain drivers but it does not I have also checked if my generic bluetooth adapter (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Skynet-Bluetooth-2-0-Mini-3-0-Bluetooth-CSR4-0-Adapter/dp/B01AQPFHEC/ref=sr_1_15_mimg_1_ce_display_on_website?ie=UTF8&qid=1509372352&sr=8-15&keywords=bluetooth+3.0+dongle) had drivers which I could use but it also has no support site to get them from.
- turned on the speakers
- turned off the headphones
- started game
- turned off the speakers
- turned on the headphones
I don't know why but the headphones work. The headphones are not actually off, i can hear some static. It's some stupid game bug with bluetooth speakers, maybe it will be cleared with a patchfix at some point in time. *cough Bethesda *cough.
It's possible that Windows automatically uses such a mode for Bluetooth audio devices at times to minimize the potential issues that otherwise might arrive.
Anyway, open Sound in Window, select the correct audio device, hit Properties, navigate to the Advanced tab and disable "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
