xbox 360 controller doesn't work

My controller works 1/2 seconds when I plugged it into my PC but after, nothing happen.It works with my others games but not this one.Anyone knows why?

Do you have any "OTHER," speical/non stander controll options programs running. For example my SR3/4 did allow me to use my controller as long as i had a program for using one of those gaming hand key pads.

i am having the same problem with my PS4 controller. It works 1/2 sec before it stops working. I PS4 touchpad is still working thou.

The funny thing is i was playing it with my controller just now. Somehow it suddenly stop working??...

For me my controllers only worked when I️ booted the game from Big picture mode

You have to go to controller options in your computer. If you have more then one program for external things then they will be seen there. If you see more then one then that might be the problem. Because even the device is not plugged in the program to run it might be and thus taking praority over the controllers.

It's ok, my problem is resolved.I restart my computer and now, it worKS.

Probably just the Steam client needed to be restarted. It causes many of these problems, it's actually one of the first things you should do (completely exit Steam using its menu) when troubleshooting a game.
