First of all, I didn't hate this game. Quite the opposite. I actually liked it. A lot. It was made by Russian guys who obviously has some NES nostalgia. Well, Russia didn't have NES, it had that weird Famiclone called Dendy, but anyway... It was pretty popular in Russia and one of the most well-known games back then was Jackal. Remember it? 1986 arcade by KONAMI that was ported to NES, DOS, C64, Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum. It was a very cool game and like many others, I loved it back in the days. Still playing it from time to time, actually. Now this game... it's a lot like it. Just with tanks, heavy metal soundtrack and a lot of blood. In other words, it's a very solid retro-inspired experience. Stylish and somewhat addictive. The problem is... it's also a fraud.

The game comes with only four laughably short levels. There are only four types of the enemies. There are no proper goals. All you need to do is to kill all enemies. There's no story. You can beat the whole thing in like 15 minutes. Or even less. I'm not kidding, you'll get 100% achievements faster than you'll get all trading cards. Much faster. And in the end there'll be a very sad message: “End of Chapter 1. More levels coming soon.” And since this game was released like a year ago, it's pretty clear that it's a lie and the game was abandoned. In other words, we're paying for a [ib]very short demo[/i] here. And the price is just laughable. $4 for 15 minutes long demo... it's a joke. Very, very sad joke.

So, long story short, Get CARNAGE!!! is a very sad story of how the game that was supposed to be very cute and fun ended up being a lie and a fraud. Which is a very common thing for Russian indie developers in Steam. Sad, but true. Get CARNAGE!!! sure worth your 15 minutes, but not your money. Any of it. It's something you get for free, not something you pay for. Please, don't support the scammers. Thank you.

Beat the game in 20 minutes.
Promises a lot of stuff in the description, but I despair of even half of it ever beaing actually released.
The same publisher (not developer) has published 7 other games this year, all to mixed reviews.
I guess I can see how it got greenlit, but I am not sure why this is being released in this super half baked stage.

This feels like a alpha/beta version of the game, yet it states as full release. Most of the promises are not implemented yet: It only contains 4 levels (which are way too short), I saw no bosses at all. The only powerup I can remember is a health kit.
The graphics, effects and soundtrack are good.
And please, translate those achievements.

As of right now, this needs a massive update to be worth 3,99€. Would only recommend it with a 75% or higher coupon.

For what this game is, it is actually enjoyable. Game mechanics are well designed, and the art-style fits the theme of the game. Got this game in of those 10-games-for-5-bucks pack, and was not disappointed.

Bloody and fun to play.
Guts, gore, blood and violence.

This is a very intense tank game with lots of explosions, blood and a killer metal soundtrack.
Imagine if Battle City and Jackal got together at a death metal concert and decided to go on a rampage - this is the game that came out - hard, brutal and fun.

Your tank moves fast and can dodge enemy fire while firing machine guns and cannons - controlling like a dream and feeling heavy as infantry gets crushed under its' treads. Enemy variety has infantry, rocket troopers, tanks, AFVs and motorcycles alongside trucks carrying troopers that, like the marching band from POSTAL, explodes beautifully.

I am looking forwards to playing Get CARNAGE again as well as future updates if any are on the way.
