New to the game, need crewmates

I'm new.
I've done the tutorial.
I tried to play solo, got confused.

Any English speakers want to party with me and help me learn to play?

Better off asking in the 'Recruiting Crewmates' forums, honestly. To learn the ropes better you could join one of the established regular servers (semi-casual or states newbie friendly in the server description) in the server lobby, if you're enjoying it stay for as long as you like, if not then try another. Sometimes (or often, especially after a recent game update or Steam sale) in multiplayer there are bad / annoying players so you just need to pick your way around those if you don't want to have to deal with that sort of thing; many hosts eye new comers with suspicion because of this reason, in case the new person's intention is to scuttle the boat and wreck the round.

Stick to crews of around 6-8 to get more attention, otherwise with a big crew things tend to get out of hand, people mess around, and the host/captain is probably too busy to spend time with the new comer.

Thanks for the advice, I will look for a newbie friendly server and try that.
