Laying on bunk and hospital beds, couches, etc. and ideas related to that
Since we can now sit on chairs, I think it would be fun to lay down as well. I know sitting on chairs still has to improve a bit ( the characters kinda look like they have butt pain and don't want to sit 100% lol ) but I think laying on things would be less problematic, since it would be closer to falling unconscious or dying, only this time the "animation" would be triggered by the player by clicking on the bed/couch, just like sitting on chairs. This could give more room to roleplaying players such as me and would be a fun addition overall.

Here's the first sub-idea: "Forcing" other players to lay down when they meet certain conditions. For example, if we drag someone who is unconscious, we could have the option of laying them on a bed or couch instead of just having them lay on the ground like dead people. I think we could also do it with someone who is handcuffed but that person would have the option of getting up whenever they'd like ( and this brings me to the next idea ).

Second idea: I really like the look of the hospital bed. I think it would be interesting if there was a way to tie people up on hospital beds. For example, you have someone who is infected with the husk virus. You don't know if the person will be treated in time or not, so you tie him/her up and inject the person with calyxanide, then you wait. Other instances would be someone who has opiate addiction or has psychosis. Some people might think that this would lead people to abuse the "tied-up in bed function" and force others to stay in one place for an extended period of time but I don't think so. I think it would just be another way to "handcuff" someone and let's be honest, when you're handcuffed you already can't go very far. A way to avoid this potential issue would be to allow the players to force their way out, just like when you open a door with a crowbar. I think it would have to take a lot of time before you break free however. I believe it would be a good idea to be able to see the progress bar when you are close to the person trying to break free, but we shouldn't be able to see it when we aren't in the same room/hull. I also believe it would make sense if you could resume your escape progress whenever you'd have to stop to avoid getting caught, unlike the crowbar action that needs to start over. Finally, in order to tie up someone, you'd need straps that you could make with maybe organic fiber and plastic. You could use those straps as "lesser handcuffs" too, the difference would be that you, as the handcuffed person, could break free after some time since they'd be less durable than handcuffs.

Third idea: In order to keep up with the realism of the game ( and to have players use the laying down function other than just for fun and RP ), I believe standing up and running around should slow down your healing process, while laying down should speed it up. Laying on a hospital bed should of course heal you a bit faster than on a couch!

The only downside to all this would be the bots. They're already having a hard time with certain interactions. I think laying down to heal would become an issue with them. They could decide to rest while the sub would be attacked from all sides and stuff like that. :steamfacepalm:

You can sorta do this by putting invisible chairs in front of a couch and adding invisible platforms to beds. Great suggestions though.

+1 in support, having bunk/single beds usable too might function as impromptu hospital beds or just additional RP things.

+1, Loving all of these ideas.

Maybe make it possible for people to be tied to chairs as well?

Perhaps these breakable handcuffs could just be the vanilla ballistic fiber and/or organic fiber, but with a duel function as both a crafting material and a set of makeshift handcuffs.

Additionally, the MHs could take a second to equip on someone, and maybe provide no access to a person's inventory unless they were tied to something.
