Steamcmd Barotrauma (ERROR! AppId 1026340 launch failed (No subscription))

Has anything been changed to steamcmd?
All of a sudden I'm getting;

ERROR! AppId 1026340 launch failed (No subscription)

Worked fine before, logged in as anonymous

I reinstalled windows on my server to see if that would fix it and I'm still getting the same error. Noone else with the same issue?

My solution was I just ignored running SteamCMD and started C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Barotrauma Dedicated Server\DedicatedServer.exe instead.

Hi!

We've noticed a few more reports of this same issue lately and have been investigating the possible causes. Our lead dev had this to say:

"Something has changed in Steam's backend that broke this and we are looking into fixing it. As a temporary workaround, they can launch the DedicatedServer executable directly from the install folder, or log in with an account to SteamCMD before launching it"

We have also contacted Steam about this issue and hope to see it resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for the update! I would like to add that it also does not work when I login to steamCMD with my main account that does own a copy. (Same error) However it can still be downloaded either way.

Unfortunately no news on this front. We tried communicating with Steam directly, but so far it has not lead to any changes on their end. We will try to contact them again, informing that this is still an issue we are receiving reports on.
