Installing Lua for Barotrauma causes client to downgrade to 1.2.7
Been having this issue since hotfix 1.2.8: any time I go to host a server and update my mods, including Lua, then restart my client is apparently downgraded to version 1.2.7. I just host a server with the Lua Dedicated Server, then update lua by opening console with F3 and typing
install_cl_lua
then disconnecting and quitting the game to restart. Problem is that I can't then join my friends' servers because they're running 1.2.8 (also modded and with Lua) and my client refuses to join.

Here's what it looks like prior to Lua update: https://i.imgur.com/nsOavOd.png

I can fix the downgrade by checking the integrity of game files and re-downloading missing files to update the client, but if I then repeat the steps to update Lua it just downgrades again. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client but the issue persists.

As mentioned none of my friends seem to be having this issue even though we're all using the same mods. The only difference we could find is their client indicates they're somehow getting their 1.2.8 from a different branch: https://i.imgur.com/VuTgNVT.png

Specifically they seem to be getting theirs from master branch with revision 40beade15a while I get my client update from release branch with revision b9f79cb182

I don't know if this is related to the issue but it's the only difference we can find.

You need to update the Lua For Barotrauma mod - if that doesn't work follow the common troubleshooting steps on the description.

Updating did not work, performing the troubleshooting steps and reinstalling the mod completely appears to have worked.
