How to fix late game lag?
I have ran multiple sessions before
Early game is always smooth
Late game is always "Restart and rejoin my server" each level transition

Do you guys know any possible fixes

Note: I can't use dedicated servers thanks to my "third world ISP" that is just glorified spyware

Generally (but not always) you want to be watching your cpu. Specifically the main single core your game is running on. You'll want to find ways to keep that from hitting 100% usage all the time. You can try fewer items, smaller subs, less bots, and or there is a mod for this but it could change how your game plays.

And I'm not sure how your internet service provider can stop you from hosting a dedicated server. Are they trying to block third party hosting or something? Anyway if you want to try a dedicated server you can host it on your own hardware which your ISP should have no say in. At least no more than you playing online games in the first place.

Requires port forwarding which my ISP does not allow and my "router" is unique which functions as both a modem / router.
Admin controls has 0 port forwarding options

Either way thanks for the tips, may help in a future game sessions

Asked this question in early access when a singleplayer on a lategame sessions could drop fps up to 5-6. It was so long ago i cant even tell properly when. And now i came to kick some asses and what i see - the same ol stuff still on air. So, im glad it still can be played as a tactical turn-based rpg game/:barotrauma:

Shouldnt require port forwarding as long as your router has UPnP enabled.

I think Kratos probably has hit the nail on the head with his first paragraph - number of items seems to be the killer if your system doesn't have fast / efficient single core processing power. This will be items in your sub, especially loose items floating about in water or on the floor, but it can also be items in cupboards as the game still needs to know about them all even if it's not doing physics calculations for them. It will also be more complex enemies, and more of them, that will be prevalent in the later stages or the abyss, not much you can do about that other than try to void them. If players are constantly running around and the sub flooding, this will also tax your system and server connections.

TL;DR If you're going to host, make sure you have a fast system and solid internet connection.
