can't disable cheats

i just enabled cheats to activate the path of the bike horn event, and now i can't disable it. I restarted the game, but didn't worked. And seems like there's no disablecheats command. Sad tho, cuz that was my main save.

You used to be able to do that. You could just restart the game and cheats were off and achievments back on. They changed that sometime after 1.0. If your lucky someone who knows how to save edit shows up and tells you how to disable cheats by save editing.

Not sure why they would change this, it enabled players to get out of glitchy situations (which I'm sure will still exist) and then return to normal gaming. So what if some may use it to cheese the game, joke's on them for cheating themselves out of a challenge.

For those that still have this problem, use this app: https://ignis05.github.io/baro-save-editor/

You need to:
-Import your save (Your save files should be in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Daedalic Entertainment GmbH\Barotrauma)
-Look in the Misc Tools section on the right, on the right of "Gamesession.xml" click the 4th button called "edit" and wait for text to appear.
-In the first few lines you should find the enabled cheat settings, change "true" to "false"
-Save and then press cancel to go back at the website
-Export the save
-Replace your local save by the downloaded one
