Kill a Moloch achievement not triggering

I have killed about 4 Molochs, one was even a black one, but no achievement. Playing a campaign with a friend who got the achievement, but I didn't, even when I dealt the final blow. Steam says that the achievement is close.

Make sure that the Molochs you get the final hit on are not part of a mission. The Molochs that spawn for mission objectives don't trigger the achievement.

That is interesting, because for my friend a mission to kill a Moloch worked. I will kill one off mission and see if you are right. It would be kinda stupid tho.

took me 30 minutes to kill an endworm in Single Player campaign and I didnt get the achievment :'(

I don't know if this is the case. Playing singleplayer here and I've killed several moloch by now and i haven't even seen the kill a moloch mission yet. Still no achievement. Do you have to deal the final blow to get it? I was usually piloting the sub when they died.

SAME! Kinda disappointed since I blew so much explosive ammo on the thing.

I dealt the final blow to one off mission and got the achievement. Also, I killed an Endworm that was spotted on the map and didn't get that achievement. I think when they have a large health bar at the top of the screen and are part of a mission type thingy, it might not trigger. The game really do be bugged doe.

There are a good amount of Molochs in the Great Sea, buy a nuke for a railgun and blast it to bits.
