Bots in MP campaign.
So I play my own server with my friend in campaign mode. When we start the campaign everything works, but after 1-3 missions bots suddenly stop listening my commands (i am the captain, but they won't listen other player too). We tried to restart campaign or reload saves several times, but bots didn't work anyway. If you give them command in the bugged state they don't even respond in the chat, like they usually do.

It's not a bug, which may actually be worse. The bots don't recharge their headset batteries, so eventually they run out and the bots can no longer hear your commands. There's no real way to fix this, except running around stunning and grabbing each bot to swap the battery. In singleplayer you can just switch between them and put a new one in, but not in multiplayer to my knowledge.

oh, I see, it's kinda stupid though. Why didn't devs make them change batteries themselves? I hope it will be fixed or at least they let us manage their invetory without stunning. Or bots should be spawned with fully charged headset at the beggining of each mission.

Lol.

But hey how do you get bots in MP? Do i need an existing campaign save that already has bots, and load that into a MP game?

Cus i couldnt get bots in MP

There is options for bots when you host, strange that you can't see it.

Guys its not the problem with batteries because you'd be able to give them orders in close proximity and we also checked it by killing them and checking their headphones to be fully charged (but yes them not charging their headphones is a big issue too)

The game is VERY early in development when you realize that up until recently it's been one guy working on this in his spare free time. The bots are particularly rudimentary, and will change a lot in the future.

This is why we are pointing out the exact issue for him to have it easier

In addition it seems they do respond to commands in close proximity only when you de-equip the headphones

My point is that the developers are already aware of this, and threads were opened about this before. Giving them time to work on it is better than constantly reporting the same issue over and over again.

This is the only one I could find, any sources?

I saw several similar posts and also I had reported that problem in discord, so I just play the waiting game.

The batteries should now be reloaded between rounds (currently only single player). We'll implement the AI behavior regarding reloading at some point. Please notify us if the bots still get stuck even if they should be able to hear your orders. We also need to improve the feedback when the bot cannot hear the orders.
