Can't plant seeds

Every time I try to plant seeds the planting bar comes up for .5 sec and then I end up picking up the planter...

Am I doing something wrong or is planting bugged atm?

I just checked in my own game. For me, it seems to be going good. I used LeftMouse to plant a tobacco seed. I think LeftMouse is default button for planting, maybe you have conflicting, customized keybinds? If not, maybe it's a bug with the exact seed you're using. I only tested with a tobacco seed, but I'll test the other seeds, too, just in case.

Update: I may have found the issue. Did you detach the planter? I just did, and now I'm experiencing the same thing.

How do you attach the planter to the ground?

I was just dropping it on the ground so that must be the issue I was having.

Looks like you have to right click with the planter in your hands.

I actually don't know, my game also doesn't give me an option to attach it once I've detached it. Maybe planters are a little bugged after all? Could also be we're both doing something wrong. I'll keep looking into it for solutions, but I do think we at least know what exactly is causing the problem, so that's a couple of steps in the right direction.
